Fusi 14 cordes viole d'amour
The Fusi 14 string viola d'amore is a model based on my Chardon Casadesus original - see my article on the CASADESUS ORIGINAL
The body and neck dimensions are identical to the Chardon. The form of this instrument is inspired by a Stradivari design which appeared around 1716. This instrument has very similar character and playing qualities to my Chardon / Casadesus model.
Because this form takes less time to build, it has an attractive price, which is probably why this shape of viola d'amore was created in the first place.

The back measures 420mm and the string length is 368mm. (average modern viola string length)
